Well i went camping in the holidays with my friends, mark, tom, myles, loz and sam. We went up to the lake district and stayed at great tower campsite....i really hate that campsite just because of last time we went and we had a very bad experience, which i think i wrote about in a previous journal entry.
Anyway we went for 3 days and it was pretty fun we didnt do much though because only a few of us were actually energetic enough to move lol! so me mark and tom eventually just got bored and walked to the nearest town which is about 7 miles away from the campsite and bought some food and stuff, and then ended up in a pub because we couldnt be bothered walking back and cooking for ourselves.
So we got some food and some rather nice beer....which i was suprised that we got served for lol. Then luckily when we wanted to go back to the camp site a taxi was outside asthough it was waiting for us! lol!
Then we got back and played capture the flag with the others.....childish i know, but nevertheless fun! and we obviously won and it with our stealthy tactics of wearing all black and hiding the flag( which was a torch) in our jackets lol!
Then on the last day for some reason mark decided it would be funny to attack the other peoples tent with eggs...... yeah now it seems childish and silly, but they put stuff in our sleeping bags so clearly they asked for it lol!
So we found a good 'vantage point' to throw the eggs from and threw them... i missed every time lol but mark got 2 direct shots, which didnt really please the people in the other tent to they decided to throw cooking oil all over my new £400 tent!!! and i still havent been able to clean it out, GRRRR!
ah well its pretty funny though and overall it wasnt a bad trip!
did anyone else do much in half term?
